Roger Ebert caused a bit of controversy yesterday when he scolded deceased Jackass star Ryan Dunn yesterday via Twitter for allegedly being drunk during the crash that took his life, as well as Zachary Hartwell's, and now, the movie critic has taken to his blog to clarify and somewhat apologize for his insensitivity!

We kinda wonder what it's like not to have such a hateful and homophobic person be allowed to spread himself in your country.

While we're all for free speech, we can't help but like the idea of what the UK has imposed upon American shock-jock Michael Savage (real name Michael Weiner was changed — because doesn't Savage sound much more badass?). Not only that, but it looks like the UK has no intention of lifting the ban, either.

Here's the latest info:

In the latest communiqué from the British government, Michael Atkins, writing on behalf of the U.K.'s treasury solicitor, told Savage's London-based attorney, "Your client has not provided any evidence to show that he did not commit the unacceptable behaviour" that prompted the "decision to exclude him, nor has your client provided any acceptable evidence to show his repudiation of those unacceptable behaviours."

Atkins said Savage can do nothing at the moment to affect his status and must wait until December, when the decision is scheduled for review.

Savage has the 3rd most listened to radio show in the States. Either people really dig what he's saying, or most people just want to hear what he's going to say next as a form of entertainment. We hope it's the latter.

We'll see what happens come December!

Over a meal, I had a friend wax philosophic about this new band "Cut Copy". He said it was this great French band that sounded a lot like Joy Division. Once I got home, I noodled around on Google and saw a video of them performing on the Jimmy Fallon show. These guys were performing some amazing music, but there was this guy wearing a gorilla outfit. I'm not sure what that was about, but he was going nuts on the tom toms. I think it distracted a bit from the song, but it definitely got my attention, so I decided to do some more digging.

Today we get to check out the second poster release for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 which features a battle-worn Harry looking very much worse for the wear. With the tagline, IT ALL ENDS, Warner Bros. wants you to be well aware that this is THE END.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” is the final adventure in the Harry Potter film series. The much-anticipated motion picture event is the second of two full-length parts. In the epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. On Friday, Daniel Radcliffe was on hand for the Drama League Awards ceremony and luncheon at the Marriot Marquis in New York. Dapper DanRad presented the award for Distinguished Production of a Musical, looking exceptionally handsome and not at all peeved that he didn't receive a nomination.

We kid, we kid. He's got to clock a few more hours on the Great White Way before that happens. Still, he has promise…and he's such a little stud!

Refaeli later said she was grateful for that six-month break – that she “grew up” during that time apart and learned not to fear being alone.

HMMM … even tho many people thought these two would get married, I was never convinced. Leonardo DiCaprio does not strike me as the kind of guy who is likely to take a wife. He does not seem like husband material to me. If I had to make a wild assumption and guess what caused the split, I’d have to say that Bar prolly wanted to get married and Leo did not. Perhaps Bar wanted to start a family and Leo did not. Of course, I have no way of knowing for sure … but I can see Leonardo DiCaprio as a lifelong bachelor. It’s a shame that the couple couldn’t make their relationship work but, in the end, it’s prolly for the best that the couple split up now.

Winfrey said having a street named after her was “better than an Oscar or an Emmy.” “It is really just a full circle, miracle story,” she said, “that a little colored girl born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on a red dirt road ends up with my name on a street in the greatest city in the world, Chicago.”

I mean … Oprah has countless awards, massive amounts of money, her OWN television network … why not add a street to her collection of accomplishments. I can’t say that I’m at all surprised that Oprah got her own street name … in fact, I wouldn’t even be surprised if the entire city of Chicago were renamed after her. There is no doubt, Oprah Winfrey has enjoyed HUGE success in Chicago and she has shared much of her success with the city that has been so good to her. After 25 years in the biz there, it totally makes sense that Chicago, IL is now home to Oprah Winfrey Way.
